Caring for people and planet is at the core of who we are at Enzymedica. We are part of several initiatives surrounding these causes, which are very important to us. Enzymedica is a sponsor of autism initiatives, SPARCC, and Vitamin Angels, as well as making strides to a greener world.
Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) is a local non-profit that aims to stop domestic and sexual violence in our communities. It is the only state-certified center for domestic violence and sexual assault services in Sarasota county. SPARCC assists survivors, as well as promotes social change to prevent future violence in our county. They operate 365 days a year, and have a 24-hour crisis helpline. Enzymedica is a proud sponsor of our local non-profits including SPARCC.
The Beagle Freedom Project fights for animal rights, and the elimination of animal testing. Enzymedica is product to support their initiatives – especially Cruelty-Cutter, a mobile app that allows consumers to scan the barcode of products and learn if they have been tested on animals. Enzymedica worked with the Beagle Freedom Project team to pioneer a new dietary supplement registry for the app.
Vitamin Angels’ mission is to provide vitamins to mothers and children at risk of malnutrition, which works to reduce illness, blindness and death. Vitamin Angels reaches more than 52 million people in over 66 countries around the globe with the power of vitamins to enhance nutrition and health.
One of the organizations close to our hearts is the Autism Hope Alliance, which we have helped provide financial and educational support to since its inception. AHA is also the first non-profit autism foundation from the natural foods industry and has created a list of Autism Approved products that support their mission. We have also sponsored the Autism Grass Roots Tour to reach more that 4,400 individuals to raise funds for awareness and treatment. In addition, Enzymedica provides scholarships for families to attend the Autism Treatment Center of America. We also sponsor several other non-profits in the autism community – Generation Rescue, Talk About Curing Autism (TACA), and AutismOne.
