For Coral Reefs, ‘The Urgency Can’t Be More Real’

Understanding the Urgency to Restore America's Coral Reefs

The reefs need us now. In honor of World Oceans Day, Scott Sensenbrenner, President & CEO of Enzymedica, Inc., sat down with the team at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium to discuss why we’re so committed to supporting the work they do right here in our own back yard in Florida.

Healthy oceans – and healthy coral reefs – will ensure a healthy, vibrant planet for future generations. With “the rainforests of the sea” dying off at rapid rates, the researchers at Mote are racing against the clock to restore them.

“When they’re gone, they’re gone forever,” said Andria Piekarz, Chief Development Officer at Mote. “The urgency can’t be more real.”

Watch Andria talk about how Mote became one of the world’s leading marine science research organizations with over 30 Ph.D scientists on staff. And learn how Mote got started back in 1955, to support the work of renowned shark researcher Dr. Eugenie Clark.
